The Garden of The Grandfather, Life in Greece in the 1960s

A 128 page literary memoir, illustrated with over 200 black and white photographs, drawings and sketches

The final cover

This is the latest in a number of P and S Barrett collaborations, and our second with Greece as our subject; the first was “Travels with a Wildlife Artist, The Living Landscape of Greece”, published by Harrap-Columbus in 1986. The present book describes the years we spent living in Greece in the 1960s. It is an evocative picture of life as it was before mass tourism.  The 50,000 word text is illustrated with over 70 of Peter’s drawings and sketches and  200  black and white photographs taken at the time.
